Sadguru Swami Sankaranandaji's Samadhi consecrated today
Sadguru Swami Sankaranandaji’s body was today laid to rest in a specially built ‘Samadhi’.
The divine ritual was carried out in the wee hours of the morning by HH Swami Krishnananda Saraswati, Brahmachari Santosh and Brahmachari Sudeer of Sree Ramadasa Mission, while devotees and local people watched prayerfully, amidst the chanting of sacred mantras.
Swami Sankaranandaji had always had a great reverence for HH Jagadguru Swami Sathyananda Saraswathy throughout His life and had entrusted His Mookambika ashram to Swamiji many years ago.
The Samadhi site is on the way from Byndoor (on National Highway 17) to Mookambika, karnataka.

Sadguru Swami Sankarananda of Mookambika takes Mahasamadhi
Sadguru Swami Sankarananda of Sree Sankarashramam, Mookambika (of Sree Ramadasa Mission) has taken Mahasamadhi at 02:05 PM IST today 15th July, 2008. He was 99 years of age.
It was 60 years ago that Swami Sree Sankarandaji Maharaj started Sree Sankarasramam with the support of His Guruji Sree Poojya Raja Swami in Mookambika, Kollur, Karnataka. Swamiji was a great devotee of Goddess Mookambika Devi and carried out incessant penance on the Kutajaadri Hill behind Sree Mookambika Temple (established by Adi Shankaracharya) at Karnataka, India.
Swamiji attained “Siddha Prapti” by his continuing devotion towards Sree Mookambika Devi, by his hard penace (Tapasya), strict discipline (“Nitya Bramhacharyam”), daily auspicious activities (“Nithya Karmanushtanam”) and immeasureable love to the people.
Sree Sankarandhaji Maharaj served the society at large in solving the critical problems faced by many thousands of devotees in their life. By his vision of the need of the society, Swamiji organized distribution of herbal medicines in the traditional way of Ayurvedic & Siddha medicines.
Many dignitaries of the society in various fields like Politics, Filim Industries, Professionals including Doctors & General Public are in the list of beneficiaries from Swamiji, who would sit calmly and bless all of them. IT Professionals, young and old devotees would visit the ashram everyday to get the blessings of Swami Sankaranandaji.
The activities initiated by Swamiji were: feeding the poor , treating the diseased irrespective of poor or rich (without remuneration), distributing study materials to poor students, etc.
Sree Ramadasa Mission has been managing the activities for many years.

Mission in the news -2008 – Sree Neelakantha Mahadeva Mandir, Surwari, UP.
A , magnificent 50 foot high Sree Neelakantha Mahadeva Mandir shaped like Shivalinga with shrines of:
Lord Shiva, Shivalinga, Gurupeeth, Ganapati, Karthikeya, Sita-Rama-Anjaneya and Ashta-Digpaal
was constructed and Prana Pratishtha was done by Sree Ramadasa Mission in Surwari , Uttar Pradesh (near Faizabad). The Special Havans and Poojas were conducted from 1 week before the Pratishtha continuously till the Pratishtha took plkace on March 13th, 2008.
