Sree Samarth Ramadasji's Paduka received at Ramagiri
The devotees of Sant Sree Samarth Ramadasji, the Guru of the great Maratha warrior Shivaji Maharaj, brought the paduka of Sree Ramadasji to Ramagiri on 26-12-2008 as part of ‘Sree Samarth Paduka Prachar Daura va Bhiksha Pheri’ .
It was miraculous that it also happened on the day that Brahmashree Neelakantha Gurupadar’s Janmadivas Mahotsav was being celebrated at the ashram.
The Paduka has been taken from its Holy abode at ‘Ramadas Swami Math’ , Sajjangadh in Satara, Maharashtra, and is being taken to all most holy places and temples throughout India.
At Ramagiri, Swami Krishnananda Saraswati received the Holy Paduka at 5 PM on 26-12-2008 and performed Pooja on the occasion. All those present spent time remembering Sree Ramadasji Maharaj and Sree Neelakantha Gurupadar.
The procession then continued on its further journey.
It may be recalled that , during the great Shatakoti (100 crore Devi Naam) Mahayagya conducted at Sree Ramadasa Ashram Chenkottukonam by Jagadguru Swami Sathyananda Saraswathy Maharaj , of the 501 lamp flames (Jyotis) taken by Swami Krishnananda Saraswati from all parts of India, one lamp had been taken from the holy shrine at Sajjangadh.
On 26th December, that great spirit was continued. This symbolises the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
Jai Sita Ram.
